We are a specialist college providing training programmes for young people with autism and moderate learning difficulties aged 19 – 25. All our training programmes are carefully designed to give each student the opportunity to move in to employment.
Our tutors and job coaches work with each student to develop plans that match their interests, skills and future work choices. Our courses are practical and focus on job skills.

Nina has 35 years of experience in teaching, school improvement and spent a number of years inspecting and leading inspection for Ofsted. She has been Director of Education in Southwark since 2016 with a wide portfolio including a range of services for children and young people with special educational needs and their families and working strategically across health and social care to achieve early identification, intervention and develop a wider range of educational provision. Nina has been a proactive supporter of developing high quality and real opportunities for young people who have SEN as they move into adulthood. Nina has a Bachelor of Education(Hons) a Master n Equalities in Education a post graduate certificate in coaching for leadership and diploma in NLP.
Ian worked in SEN education in London for over 30 years until retiring from the post of Senior Advisor for SEN for the London Borough of Southwark in August 2021. He held advisory posts in three London Local Authorities working with mainstream and special schools and Alternative Providers for children and young people of all ages. He has been an OFSTED inspector, a consultant/advisor for Cambridge Education Associates and has taught in primary, secondary further education and adult settings in Salford and in London.
Steph has worked in special needs education for more than 25 years. She has been the Deputy Headteacher at Spa School in Bermondsey from 2011 to 2018 and is now the Headteacher for Spa School Camberwell. Prior to joining Spa she was the Deputy Head at the Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School. She has worked as a link advisor for the General Teaching Council, as an Inclusion Manager in a Lambeth community primary school and as a learning support leader at The United Nations International School. Steph has Bachelor of Education degree in Primary Teaching, the National Professional Qualification for Headship and a master’s degree in the Psychology and Education of Children with Special Needs. Steph has extensive leadership experience and has been an Acting Head of both a Primary and Secondary Special School.
Simon has worked in special needs education since arriving in the UK from Australia 30 years ago. He has been Headteacher of Spa School in Bermondsey since 2006; prior to this he was Headteacher of Tree House School and Deputy Head of the Bridge School in Islington. Simon has a Diploma in Teaching, the National Professional Qualification for Headship, and a Masters in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Simon loves working at Spa and thinks he has the best job in the world.
Catriona has worked in special needs education since arriving in England from Ireland over 20 years ago. She has worked at Spa Bermondsey since 2008. She had various roles such as Class teacher covering all key stages, Complex needs coordinator, Social communication lead and Acting Assistant Head in Key Stage 5. She went to The Park College in 2018 to help set up the college. Prior to this she worked for the National Autistic Society- Sybil Elgar School as an Art and Tutor teacher. She has a PGCE in Secondary Education, Leading from The Middle Programme, City & Guilds Level 4 certificate in Further Education Teaching, Bachelor of Education degree in Fine Art and certificate in Art Therapy. Catriona loves working at The Park College.
